Highways Network Spot Checks

Highways Network Spot Checks

The Highways Network are carrying-out vehicle spot checks at many major contractor sites. We have already seen such checks carried-out at Balfour Beatty sites, and have been warned of upcoming checks at Costain sites. They are checking a range of compliance issues (O-license, driving licenses, vehicle condition), many of which could be picked-up by driver walk-around checks. So far circa 50% of vehicles checked have been found to have a problem of some sort, especially with respect to tyre conditions.

Please ensure your drivers are conducting their checks to be confident that you are compliant in all areas.

Are you a new driver to AI?

Are you delivering to contracting?

Safe Delivery Continued Competence

Aggregate Industries have developed an online eTOT to help with the required induction before you can deliver to any Major Scheme or Contracting site.  The SDCC (Safe Delivery Continued Competence) is a simple step in the right direction to ensure that site safety is trained and maintained.
